About This Class

February 19th, 2026
7pm-8:30pm

Held Virtually over Zoom

In this class, Linda Shanahan will dive into the remarkable research of the past two decades that has reshaped our understanding of the body as a living, interconnected ecosystem. One of the most fascinating areas of study reveals just how deeply our immune response depends on the health and diversity of the “flora” living within our digestive tract. Participants will be introduced to basic immunological concepts, explore the essential role microbes play in maintaining health (or contributing to imbalance), and learn how gut ecology directly influences immune resilience. Linda will also share specific herbs and foods that act as “miracle grow” for a thriving microbiome. This workshop bridges modern scientific research with holistic, plant-based approaches to immune support, offering practical and accessible insights for everyday life.

*A recording of the class will be available to registered participants after the event.

Tiered Investment

Two BIPOC scholarships are available upon request through February 13th.

We ask that you reach out by emailing [email protected] for more information.

How to Choose Your Tier

General Admission

This tier is at the market rate and reflects the true cost of the service, labor, and expertise of producing the workshop. This price point allows us to generate a profit for the teacher and the school. We encourage those with access to wealth to opt for this tier as it enables ArborVitae to offer more tickets at an accessible price.

Sustainable Admission

This tier reflects the cost of our service, labor, and expertise required to produce the workshop and allows us to make a small profit. We encourage those to opt for a Sustainable Ticket if the price point of a General Ticket is prohibitive.

Solidarity Admission

This ticket tier reflects our intention to make our workshops open for all! We want all members of our community to enjoy our educational opportunities  no matter their financial situation. Opt for the Solidarity ticket if General or Sustainable is not accessible to you right now.

Current ArborVitae Student & Alumni Admission

This tier is for current ArborVitae students and alumni that have successfully completed all 3 years and received their diploma.
