Herbs for Circadian Disruption (Part of the Scholarship Fundraising Series)
with Lena DeGloma
with Lena DeGloma
In this class we will explore the relationship between “chronodisruption” (or the misalignment between the circadian timing system and sleep/behavior that occurs during night shift work and travel through time zones) and a variety of aspects of health, including: sleep-wake regulation, the gastrointestinal system and the “gut clock”, the neuroendocrine stress response, the immune system, and cardiometabolic health. We will consider herbal and lifestyle approaches to help mitigate the harmful effects of chronodisruption.
